The Human Fund effectively supports arts education programs for the under-served youth of the city of Cleveland, providing a commitment to funding several arts programs annually.

We are a non-traditional foundation taking a fresh approach to fundraising. Our foundation takes arts education seriously and as a friend of the arts, The Human Fund is committed to financial support for youth arts programming.

Andrew Rayburn, Co-Founder & Co-Chairman
The Human Fund has evolved in a rapid and amazing way since our start in 2005. We have distributed a stunning amount of funds to the Cleveland Municipal School District and other Cleveland kids’ arts programs.

More importantly, we have touched the lives of tens of thousands of Cleveland kids in a positive way. When the last school bell of the day rings, then kids can go to the art studio, to the rehearsal room, to the stage, as an alternative to going out to the streets.

We are privileged to be the enablers of their positive alternatives, and grateful to all of those who have become engaged in our effort to bring positive energy to the city of Cleveland.

Heather Guess, Co-Founder & Co-Chairman
The arts are often overlooked as something frivolous or a luxury pursuit. We are working to change those misconceptions about creativity and the arts. Our work to date has fundamentally addressed keeping existing arts programming alive to ensure that Cleveland youth are exposed to this important segment of education. We look forward to expanding our focus to include career development within the visual arts.

We are fortunate to have some of the city’s top leaders on our board, building upon the momentum from the last two years and guiding our new endeavors.

The Human Fund hopes to inform and foster economic growth in Cleveland that is derived from creativity. I wish to thank the many who have offered support and volunteered their time to make this organization a success!
